About Sierra Maze
Sierra Maze has spent her career navigating the razor-thin boundary between life and death as a critical care physician. Years of sleepless nights in the ICU, adrenaline surges that don’t fade until long after sunrise, and witnessing humanity at its most fragile and most defiant have etched unforgettable stories into her memory. Eventually, she realized some truths couldn’t be charted—they had to be told. So, she started writing the kind of thrillers that don’t just quicken your pulse—they haunt you long after the last page.
When Sierra isn’t conjuring fictional catastrophes, she’s usually testing her own survival skills off the page. Whether it’s snowboarding down icy slopes, paddling into waves with more confidence than sense, or launching herself over mud-covered obstacle course walls, she collects bruises like badges of honor. Meditation and fitness help keep the chaos in check—most days.
A Chicago resident with two wildly imaginative kids and a love for adventure (planned or otherwise), Sierra brings a sharp wit and a deep well of human experience to every story she writes. Her novels dig into the underbelly of medicine and morality, where heroism blurs with hubris and no one leaves unscathed.
